Recently my family had the opportunity to go to the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey presents Dragons show in Chicago. We decided that although we were sure our youngest would love it, it was too late in the evening to have him out and expect good behavior from him. So my husband and I packed up our oldest to head into the city for a night of ooohing and ahhhing.
Once we got settled in our seats with our big bag of cotton candy and sprite we were ready for the show to begin. {Note to parents- wet wipes are always a good idea!} The cotton candy got a bit messy for my little one and the paper napkins just weren’t cutting it. Thanks goodness for a fellow blogger friend and her diaper bag {Thanks again Danielle!}.
The Ringmaster captured our attention right from the beginning with his melodious voice and booming personality. Johnathan Lee Iverson was a fabulous Ringmaster who was a treat to listen to and fun to watch.
My
little guy did not stop dancing the entire night! He was a big fan of the
clowns and really enjoyed watching Alexander Lacey work with the big cats. I
must say that I was more than a little impressed by the big cats portion of the
show as well. There were lions and tigers and lots of roaring – oh my!
My favorite part of the show would have to be the elephants. I adore elephants and really enjoyed watching them perform. They did a fantastic job! I would probably go back just to see them perform again.
My husband enjoyed everything about this show. From the Kung Fu Kings to the Torres Family, everything was new and exciting. I don’t think I will have a hard time talking him into seeing another Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey show in the future.
It had been a long time since I had been to a Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey show and I had forgotten just how much fun it could be for everyone {adults as well as children}. This was my husband and sons’ first time and they loved it! The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey presents Dragons did not disappoint and we will definitely be seeing them again the next time they come to town. It was a great show that is appropriate and entertaining for the whole family.
