I love pretty much all things Disney. Shock among shocks, right? A few weeks ago my husband discovered that our favorite place to take the kids in the city {Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago} was having a Disney exhibit and he asked me if I wanted to take the family… um yes! So we packed up the family for a day in the city to see the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives and we even invited my sister-in-law and her family to join us.
The museum was great, as it always is. The kids loved walking around discovering new things. They touched everything, as my hands on children tend to do. The Disney exhibit was really cool too! My favorite things to look at were the costumes worn in the films that were displayed. It gives you unique perspective on the size and scope of filmmaking and how tiny those actors and actresses really are {because people really do appear larger on film}. I loved seeing the film memorabilia. I grew up loving Disney, so it was a real treat to be able to see this exhibit and understand a little more of the history of the Disney media conglomerate and how
it came to be.
In case you are
interested in seeing this exhibit for yourself it is at the Museum of Science
and Industry until May 4, 2014 and tickets are required for admittance.
