I
am a huge fan of babywearing. I have been babywearing since I had my first
child back in 2009. Though back then I didn’t know any better and my baby
carrier was a very inexpensive one that was literally a pain in my back. Since then I have become quite the babywearing
buff and like to educate others on the joys of babywearing.
Before I get too carried away talking about the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One, let me share some facts with you. This carrier is appropriate from newborn (Min. 8 lb./21 in.) to approx. 3 years (Max. 33 lb./39 in.). The minimum age for outwards facing position is 5 months and maximum weight for outward facing is 26lbs.
I really enjoy using the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One and find that it has quickly become my go to baby carrier because of how easy it is to use unassisted. My only suggestions for possible improvements to this carrier would be a latch or snap of some kind for the head support when it is in the folded down position as well as the inclusion of a snooze cover. Those are the only possible improvements I can think of, this carrier is pretty fantastic and very user friendly.

As this is the first BabyBjörn baby
carrier to offer a back carry position. Not to mention the fact that it is one
sleek looking carrier that my husband - or mother-in-law - will happily wear. My mother-in-law even came over to give the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One a test run!

What we love about
the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One:
The entire baby carrier is machine
washable. This is a biggie for me as my children tend to be a bit messy.
You can switch from the front carry
position to the back carry position completely unassisted. This is totally
cool. With just the switching of strap positions you can move your little nugget
from front to back all by yourself.
The BabyBjörn Baby Carrier
One has a special zipper system that allows the carrier to be altered to accommodate
newborns and small children {newborn position} as well as bigger babies and toddlers
{ Baby/Toddler Position} – thus eliminating the need to have an additional newborn
insert.
There is also a leg zipper that allows a
natural leg position for newborns {0-4 months} facing inward and for children 5
months and older in an outward facing position and a normal {wide} leg position
for babies 4-36 months.
I love the buckles on this. I wasn’t sure
about them in the beginning, but after about a week I was sold on them. They
make a clicking noise when they are connected – so I never worry about not
having my nugget safe and secure in the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One.
I love that I can easily slip it over my head
to put it on and take it off. I don’t have to try to reach around and fumble
with back clasps. It is very simple to use.

I
babywear everywhere, especially during the early days of infancy, so it is
important that I am able to easily use my baby carrier. Babywearing make my
life as a stay at home mother of three children {4, 2, and new} that much
easier. I am able to babywear at the park and still manage to easily keep up
with my older boys. I babywear at the grocery store and am able to get in and
out in under an hour. It makes shopping, playing, and exploring the world with
my family much more enjoyable for everyone!
Being
able to babywear makes me happy as well as my baby girl and both of my boys
have loved being worn too. In fact my oldest has requested a baby carrier of
his own so that he can carry around HIS baby. I love the closeness and bonding
that comes from babywearing and my babies love snuggling with mom. I cannot recommend
babywearing enough and I am a big fan of this BabyBjörn Baby Carrier
One carrier as is my mother-in-law.
