Getting back into shape after having a baby
can be incredibly difficult. Some people bounce back and look better than they
did before having a baby. But if you are like me, you have to work really hard
to get back into shape. I like to think that MOST people have to work hard to
get back their pre-pregnancy bodies, that it’s not just me.
This pregnancy I did not gain a ton of
weight. That probably had to do with the fact that I exercised more this
pregnancy than I did with either of my other pregnancies… that and all my
cravings this time around were for healthy things like fruit, veggies, and
seafood. Even though I did not gain a ton of weight I still gained weight that
will have to be worked off. My body also grew to accommodate the life growing
inside me. My stomach muscles split and I suffered from an umbilical hernia. Needless
to say, I was happy to be given the opportunity to review the Belly Bandit.
Belly Bandit sent me the Bamboo Belly Bandit
for me to review. I received an adorable package with the Bamboo Belly Bandit,
a carrying case, pens, and information for more Belly Bandit products. I was
especially excited that the bandit I was receiving was an environmentally smart
product.
So what is the Bamboo Belly Bandit? It is a
belly wrap that is made from viscose {which breathes like cotton}. So it is eco
friendly super soft. It is made specifically for women to wear after giving
birth. The Belly Bandit has elastic that helps to support the core muscle structure, which I so desperately needed
after this last pregnancy.
I was given a size small Belly Bandit,
which I could not believe since I have NEVER been a size small anything. But
low and behold those measurements were correct. I started wearing my Bamboo
Belly Bandit the day I came home from the hospital. I wore it under my
clothing, but over a tank top {as I tend to sweat}. It did not show under my
clothing, which was nice and allowed me to wear it out in public. The material
is soft and when I have worn it directly on my skin I have had no irritation
issues.
After 2 weeks of wearing my Bamboo Belly
Bandit I dug out my pre-pregnancy clothing and had myself a little runway show
for my kids. Mama could fit into her pre-pregnancy shorts! Needless to say I
was very excited. I have noticed a significant decrease in the size of my stomach
and with a little bit of work and watching what I eat I am sure that I will
have my abdominal muscle definition back as well. Wearing the Belly Bandit
reminds me to sit up straight, it reminds me to work my core muscles, and it
helps support my back muscles that NEED support.
I credit my quick return to pre-pregnancy
clothing to nursing and wearing the Belly Bandit. It took me about three months
to get back in pre-pregnancy clothing after my first pregnancy and about a
month after my second pregnancy. This
time around it took me a couple weeks. I love my Belly Bandit and would highly recommend
it!
