As a mom
on the go I do not have a lot of time to devote to a major skin care or hair
care regime. My life is especially crazy now that I have had my third baby and
am managing a household with three children four-years-old and under. Regardless
of how insane my day to day life can be, I still like to look and feel good… I
just like to be efficient as well.
I am a
basics kind of girl who is always looking for ways to simplify my household. So
when Mom Central asked me if I would like to review a new hand held shower head
with a built in filter, I jumped at the chance. What could be easier than a
built in filter that would remove chlorine and iron oxide from my water and
give me healthier hair and softer skin. Plus, I just love shower heads that
offer various spray settings {the T3Source has 8 spray settings}.
Installing
this hand held shower filter was a breeze. My husband did it in about 10
minutes. He simply detached the old shower head, cleaned off the pipe, applied
the provided plumbers tape and screwed on the new unit. It really was simple.
After running the water through the filter for 5 minutes, the T3Source shower filter hand held was ready to use.
I don’t really know what I was expecting, but I was able to tell the difference after my first use. My hair felt lighter and my skin felt cleaner – like there was no build up or residue being left behind. I did not walk out of my shower looking or feeling like a super model, because as fabulous as that would have been it is just not real. But there was a noticeable difference in the way my hair and skin felt. It was like there was no residue being left behind, I just felt clean.
My old
shower head only had one spray setting. The T3Source Shower Filter Hand Held
has eight spray settings and I love the variety. After a long day of carrying
my toddler or baby-wearing my newborn my back and shoulders can be sore. The T3
Source shower filter hand held massage settings can work out the knots in my
neck much better than my previous shower head. I cannot imagine going back.
Something to be aware of is the fact that the
filter on the showerhead does need to be changed
once every 3-6 months depending on usage. Changing the filter is very easy to
do and the replacement filter is pretty inexpensive – costing $15-$25 a
replacement filter depending on where you purchase from.
