My family and I have participated in Champions For Kids Simple Service projects quite a few times over the last
few years. The act of helping others that are in need is something I hope will be second nature to my children as they grow into adulthood. People in need can be found in every community and there are countless ways to reach out and help someone.
I was
really excited to get the opportunity to work with The Motherhood on this
campaign helping children in my own community. So of course I made sure that my own children were
involved with picking out the items we would donate as well as well as
participating in the actual donation itself. My children
and I headed to our local Walmart to purchase some personal care items to
donate. My kiddos really like being part of the Champions For Kids campaigns
and I like their enthusiasm for helping others. We picked up some Unilever shampoo and deodorant for our donations… and a few pumpkins for home as well.
Champions
For Kids make it really simple to give kids in your community the resources
they need to thrive. For families in need, having access to healthy food and
personal care items can be a challenge.Champions For Kids, General Mills, and Unilever have joined forces to make it simple for
communities to provide basic resources for their students through donation
opportunities.
Beginning
October 14, customers at more than 1,800 participating Walmart stores can
purchase food and personal care items for children and place them inside the
donation bins right inside the store. All donations will stay in the local
community and be distributed through school districts nearest to each store.
You can give back this fall with the Champions For Kids
#SIMPLEGiving campaign and submityour Simple Service Projects that showcase your great work on a local level
for a chance to win one of several prizes totaling $10,000! I would love for
you to join me in this amazing campaign of giving.
How do you give back
to your community?
