I am super excited about attending BlogHer12 in New York in a couple weeks. I have my plane tickets, BlogHer12 tickets, and a room to crash in all lined up. I have my new blogger business cards ordered and they should be at my door any day now.
I
have been invited to some fantastic sounding parties by some great companies and
I have mapped out my agenda for the duration of my trip. I know the Geek Bar
schedule as well as when Martha Stewart is going to be speaking {I love Martha}!
I am even hoping to catch a Broadway show; I hear Harvey is supposed to be
pretty good.
Now
that the itinerary planning part of attending BlogHer12 has been completed I am
ready to start thinking about what I am going to be bringing with me to New
York. What am I going to wear?
This
year I have worked really hard to lose all of the baby weight I put on during
my pregnancies. I did it! I weigh less now than I did before I had my first
child. This summer I was able to fit into a dress I have not been able to wear
since high school. I am not skinny, not have I ever been. I am curvy and I love
it.
Unfortunately
my clothing from my thinner time in life was given up on and donated to
Goodwill {if I do not use something in a year, I do not hang on to it. I donate
it}. So needless to say I am in the market for a new thinner look to take with
me to New York… Now I need to start thinking about what that entails.
My
mother-in-law has gotten me addicted to Kate Spade bags and I love their new
line of clothing. Some of those dresses and purses are calling my name. I am
also a fan of the Simply Vera Vera Wang collection. Most items in my closet
right now are from Lands End and I love the simplicity of their clothes. Sadly,
nothing has any shape on me right now. I am swallowed up by my clothing... I
need to go shopping.
Most
of my day to day attire is chosen for convenience. With two little boys I get
to chase after all day, I look for something that is easy and comfy. But once
in a while I would like to dress for myself and feel completely put together.
I
have decided that I am in need of a
celebrity style makeover at BlogHer’12. I need someone to make me over!
If
I were to get a celebrity style makeover I would like to emulate Audrey Hepburn's style {this comes as no surprise to my mother}. She was one
classy lady who exuded elegance. She wore simple tasteful clothing in classic cuts and she always looked like she was having fun.
If you could have a celebrity style makeover… what celebrity would you try to be like?
