TurboFire: Getting fit and healthy with BeachBody Fitness.

My goal for 2012 was to get fit. My little sister is getting married in June and I wanted to look good and feel great for her wedding. I wanted to lose the pregnancy weight I had gained from having two children and I wanted to get toned up {translation- I wanted to look good}.

I started to really making an effort to meet this goal in the fall of 2011. I changed my diet with the help of my husband and I started exercising regularly. I ran on an elliptical every other day and when I wasn’t running on the elliptical I was at home working out to a DVD. After a while I started to feel like I wasn’t getting any real results and I started to look at alternative options.

Then out of the blue I got a Facebook message from my friend about trying TurboFire. I had tried P90X and was not a fan. I am a full time SAHM with two children to care for and a home to run, I did not have an unlimited amount of time to dedicate to working out each day – I have a life. Needless to say I was on the fence about trying TurboFire. After a lot of talking I agreed to give it a try.

TurboFire is a program that gets you moving from the get go. Like any other program, you get what you give. If you do the workouts and make the effort you will see results. And like most other weight loss programs you need to be conscious of what you are eating if you want to lose the weight. TurboFire is a high energy cardio based 12 week program and I loved taking on this challenge!

What we love about TurboFire:
TurboFire·TurboFire comes with 10 workout DVDs, and introductions DVD, 2 resistance bands, a tape measure, a nutrition guide, a 5 day inferno plan, a fitness guide, and a class schedule. Everything you need to do this program is included in the TurboFire kit. There is no running to the store to buy more equipment.

·The class schedule keeps me on task. I know exactly what workout I am supposed to do and when I am supposed to do it. There are even REST days thrown in for recovery.

·The workout DVD’s are all different. They vary in length, intensity, and focus. One day you can be toning your core and the next you are punching, kicking, and sweating your way through a HIIT program!

·Team BeachBody offers online Fitness coaches that help to motivate and keep you accountable. I found this particularly helpful around week 10 when I needed a kick in the rear to keep going!

I completed the 12 week TurboFire Program. Although my results are not staggering by any stretch of the imagination, the fact that I was actively trying to lose weight before beginning this program should be taken into account. I started this program because I had reached a weight loss plateau as was no longer seeing results from my old program. With TurboFire I continued to lose weight and tone up.

Weight: -7 lb
Waist: -3.5 inches
Hips:  -4.5 inches
Chest:   -2.5 inches
Right Arm: -1.5 inches
Left Arm: -1.5 inches
Right Thigh: -3 inches
Left Thigh: -3 inches

I am happy with my results and will continue to work out with TurboFire in the future. It will definitely be my go to program to get back into shape after having children!

  4. Oh my goodness, you look fantastic! I've been doing Active 2 for the Wii for more than 2 months and haven't seen any results. I just wanted to get fit/tone cuz I never have been. I am totally looking into this!
